If someone died in Cormackstown, during the 1870s, what were the options for burial location?
I have two ancestors: Richard Neely (1810-1870) and Johanna Donovan Neely (1817-1887). They were living in Cormackstown when they died. The death record does not include burial information.
I saw the web site for Irish Graveyards, but they haven't done Tipperary.
Thanks.

I have passed your query to a volunteer. I hope they will be in touch soon.

Dear Neely
Cormackstown was in the Civil Parish of Holycross but in the Catholic Parish of Holycross and Ballycahill, these are both villages with burial grounds. Cormackstown lies almost half way between Ballycahill (4km) and Holycross (4.4km). Its possible your relatives are buried in either graveyard. I haven't come accross any graveyard inscriptions for these areas yet. I will try and dig a bit deeper for you over the coming days.
Kind Regards
Antoinette

I posted this query, back in April, and will re-post again. Still interested in determining the burial location of the couple mentioned. I do have the exact dates and I'd be willing to hire someone, to do the research, if necessary. I did try sending an email to the priest at Holycross but had not response.
Thanks.

Sorry, I accidently posted twice. I did want to add that the said couple were married and Holy Cross and their 8-10 children were baptized at Holy Cross. So, if I were to choose one location over another, I'd start with Holy Cross.
Thanks. Promise to only post once.
