If Holycross/Ballycahill records indicate that people were baptised in the Holycross Catholic Church during the mid-1850s, are they referring to the "Abbey" or is there another catholic church in Holycross?
Everything I see on Holycross only refers to the Abbey. But supposedly it lay in ruins in the 1600/1700s. At what point was it re-built? Before or after 1850? If after, where did the 18050s baptisms actually occur?

There was an RC Chapel just west of the ruins of The Abbey - it's shown on the c1837 and 1890 OSI maps.
