I am told that on 28 Jan 1809 Esther Goulding and Thomas Talbot Howard (TTH) were married in Templeharry. (Templeharry Church of Ireland Register 1800-1911) Family lore has Esther coming from Moneygalle and Thomas from Templemore. Also after the marriage Thomas moved from Templemore to Moneygalle to be closer to the Goulding family. In 1818 they immigrated, with son James, to Canada among the Richard Talbot settler via the Brig Brunswick. Others say the first born was son named John who is not shown among the passenger list.
The information I have indicates the “Howards” arrived from the east sometime around 1803 +/- and TTH was a famer/weaver. I have no information on those “Howards” that arrive circa 1803+/- nor those that remained after TTH moved to Moneygalle.
I am wondering if there are interested folks who could offer some assistance by redirecting me to possible depositaries where additional details might be residing.

I am not sure how far you got on your Howard/Goulding research over the past 8 years. I would highly recommend Bruce Elliott"s book "Irish Migrants in the Canadas." In it you would learn the Howard/Goulding couple immigrated to Canada in 1818 as part of the Richard Talbot party. Sons James and John were with the couple; Thomas was born in Canada 1820.
I am also a Howard descendant. Your Thomas Talbot Howard is my 3rd grand-uncle. He was brother to Samuel Howard who immigrated with his family the following year.
