Michael MULVANY, Esq. of Beakstown

Researching the family of Michael MULVANY, Esq. of Beakstown, Holycross, Co Tipperary.  Owner of Beakstown Mills (a flour mill to the best of my knowledge) who married Catherine "Kitty" LUBY in Jan 1836 in Kilrush Co Clare.  

Catherine "Kitty" LUBY was born c1807 and died 4 Aug 1872 at 29 Upper Gloucester St in Dublin.  She was the sister of Rev. Thomas Luby, D.D., S.F.T.C.D. (1800-1870) and the Aunt of Fenian Thomas Clarke Luby (1822-1901).  Catherine LUBY was a poetess publishing "The Spirit of the Lakes; or, Mucross Abbey" in 1822.  

Known Children of Michael MULVANY, Esq. and Catherine LUBY:  

• John Mulvany born 08 Apr 1838 Holycross
• Thomas Mulvany born 30 May 1839 Holycross died 02 Dec 1891 St Kilda Victoria AU
• Christopher Mulvany born 25 Dec 1841 Holycross
• Patrick Joseph Mulvany born 17 Mar 1844 Holycross died 20 Sep 1850 Holycross
• Michael Joseph Mulvany born 1846 Holycross died 05 Jun 1919 Melbourne Victoria AU
• Edmond/Edward Mulvany born 1849 Holycross

As you can see from above at least two of these children immigrated to Victoria Australia, and one son died young, but nothing further is known about John, Christopher or Edmond/Edward.  Did they stay put in Ireland or immigrate?  

Have no clue as to dates for their father Michael Mulvany, Esq. other than the fact that he predeceased his wife Catherine and that he sold his land (Land, House & Flour Mill consisting of 37 acres) in 1866 to a George Bloomfield.  He is mentioned in at least two newspaper articles, one in 1848 when his flour mill was broken into (see http://archive.spectator.co.uk/article/1st-january-1848/8/ireland) and once in 1850 when he was threatened for buying up the land of evicted tenants around Thurles (see http://www.irelandoldnews.com/Mayo/1850/MAR.html).  

Any help on this MULVANY / LUBY family from Beakstown, Holycross area much appreciated!
