I am looking for (O')Connor relatives of John O'Connor my great grandfather baptized at the RC parish of Aghaboe  but whose father might have had land in both Ballycolla Heath and in Ballyguagemore Killermogh, Laois as listed in  the Griffiths Valuation of Ireland in 1853.  John was born in 1830 and left for the Philladelphia USA from Liverpool in 1851.  On the ship he met his wife to be: Sarah Bergin from Liz Downey, Kilkenny.  They were married in Philadelphia in 1855 and moved to Grass Valley, Nevada County California in 1857.  John had a sister named Ann (O) Connor who married a John Campion from Tentore and is listed in the 1901 and the 1911 Irish Census.  She had a son named John Campion and a daugher named Anne.  Perhaps there were many more siblings. If any one has any information on John O'Connor whose father  we believe was Frank O'Connor b. 1799 and whose mother was Catherine Bergin I would be happy to hear from you.

Hi David  I recently learned that my gg Grandfather was from Killermogh (church death record  indicated). His name was John Connor and was baptized or born April 24, 1842 and immigrated to USA in 1863. Parents are unknown. Wondering if my Connor family is related to yours?  I have a DNA test posted under Ancestry and Family DNA.
