I am researching Edward Ashton (1744 ABT Birth), Samuel Ashton (Shinrone Parish pre 1760) and Margaret Adair (Killenaule Parish pre 1760).  My information came from a 1783 East Florida Census (at the time a Spanish territory) which states Samuel and Margaret were the parents of Edward Ashton, whose trade was a "tailor."  Unknown if they were Irish on the Ashton/Adair sides or English living in Ireland at that time, but I do know they were Protestants.  I know this because In Florida, Edward wanted to wed and the Spanish were Catholic, therefore, Edward and his children from a previous marriage had to convert to the Catholic Religion.  I have invested quite a few dollars in previous research and am now retired on a limited income. At 65-years of age I would like to leave our heritage in Ireland to my children.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
