Jim Donoghue was the eldest of 8 children born to JOSEPH DONOGHUE and NORAH SHEA on 23rd July 1869.
He stayed on the farm in Ballynabloun, Co. Kerry, He married Mary Sullivan in February 1904 in The O'Connell Church, Cahersiveen and they had 7 children.
They were Johnjoseph,Bridie,Joe, Mollie.Nora,Patsy and Ellie(my mother).
Jim died on the last day of 1944 and is buried in Keel Cemetery in St.Finan's Bay, Co.Kerry.
