Joe was to become the oldest son of Jim Donoghue and Mary Sullivan.
He attended THE GLEN SCHOOL but missed a lot of time helping his father with the farm work. As a youth he was very agile and took part in all types of sport.He played football with the local team " THE MAGPIES".
He also played with South Kerry and he got an invite to play for Kerry but unfortunately he had gone to London when the call came. He spent 64 years in North London and worked for many years with Murphy Construction.He returned yearly to Dublin for The All Ireland Football Finals.
He also visited Ballynabloun (home) on a few occasions.He had a fantastic memory and could remember right back to his school days.
He died at age 91 and is buried in Mill Hill Cemetery.
