I am Bernard Hedderman, born in Kilrush but moved to Carrigaholt within a few days.
My father Joseph Hedderman was from Carrigaholt so we moved to his home. We lived in the Doctors house, which I am told was at the end of West street, on the left as you go towards Cross.
My father married Mary (May) O'Connell, from near Kilrush.
My fathers family consisted of 4 brothers , Dermot (Derry), Paul, Kenneth (Ken) Michael and a sister Una.
My grand parents were Joseph ( Jose) and Winifred Hedderman. who lived in a 2 story house in West Street on the left as you go towards Cross. Winifred I understand was a Teacher at the Carrigaholt National School.
My parents moved to England where I still live, but call Carrigaholt Home.
