Just outside the town, in Shinrone, lie the ancestors of President Obama, the Kearneys. At Aghsmear, if you look either left or right there are more connections to American Presidents. On the left, the Wallace homestead can be seen – a member of the Wallace family married President Truman. On the right, is another ancestral connection to President Obama.
