The General Post Office looks exceptionally grand in this image. It is believed that it was taken post-1916 Rising, If you look closely too, the clock on the very far left of the image indicates it's 10.30.
The building is of course, closely connected with the events of 1916 when during that Easter Week, the building became the headquarters for the Rising. Led by Padraig Pearse, the Proclamation was read at the front of the GPO, declaring Ireland a republic.
