I am trying to find ancestors of my father's but having very little luck. Michael MULVEY was born in Queens County in 1839. His parents were Patrick and Mary MULVEY. Michael emigrated to America in 1859 or 1860. Are there any Mulveys still in Laois? Thank you for any help.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I checked the online Irish phone book which is only a partial list of phone users and there were no Mulvey listings in Co. Laois. Most of the Mulvey listings were in Dublin and Kildare.
I also looked for a baptismal record for Michael on Roots Ireland but did not find a record.

Hello, I'm still looking for records for Michael Edward Mulvey in Queens County, born 1839 to when he emigrated to America in 1859. I found Gideon Mulvey in 1850 Griffith's Valuation records. Has anyone got additional records for GIDEON? According to his marriage record, Michael's father was Patrick. Thanks for any help.

Hello Laura and welcome back!
Still no records on Roots Ireland for Michael Mulvey in Co. Laois. I looked into Gideon Mulvey and found a lot of records from the Peyy Sessions (court) records. He was a complaintant in the few records I found. I did find his 1881 death records showing he was from the town of Mayborough. He was 73 listed as a married butcher and the cause of death was suicide by strangulation according to the coroner.
