Mary Ellen Duffy : Short Biography

Baptized 16 Nov 1856 in Ballintober, Mayo, Ireland. Immigrated to New York between 1872 and 1882. Married Daniel Bloodsworth Milmine in New York in 1886 and moved to Burford, Oxford, Ontario Canada. Listed in Canadian Census in 1891 and 1901 in Burford. Daughter of James Duffy and Bridget Heneghan. Had 7 children with Daniel Bloodsworth Milmine who were born in Canada.  Moved to Mobile, Alabama, USA between 1901 and 1910.  Listed in 1910, 1920, and 1930 in Mobile, Alabama. Died 14 Feb 1934 in Mobile, Alabama and buried in Magnolia Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama.

MILMINE - MRS. MARY D. MILMINE, a native of Ireland, but a resident of Mobile  for many years, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Nicholas C. Felis, 1006 Delaware street, at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, after a short illness.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Joseph A. Walton and Mrs. Nicholas C. Felis, both of Mobile; two brothers, John Duffy,of Ireland, and J.M. Duffy, of Mobile; one sister, Mrs. Ellen Lally, of Ireland; five grandchildren, a number of nephews and nieces and other relatives.  Funeral services will be held at the Roche mortuary at 9 o'clock Friday morning, followed by mass at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9:30 o'clock.  Interment will be in Magnolia cemetery with Roche mortuary in charge.
