All I know is that James Watson, b: c 1788; was married to Mary Allison? about 1800. They had several children before leaving for Virginia in the USA. The last child born in Ireland was James B Watson May 24, 1819. Son Robert Gordon Watson was born in the USA c.1825.
Some family lore may be that this family was no longer welcome, due to some theft on the part of the elder James.
