I am also researching Kennedys from Co. Waterford. My earliest certain ancestor was a Morgan Kennedy, father of Richard Kennedy who lived at Rathmaiden near Kilmac, and died at Whitestown House, Whitestown, ca 1770. His descendant, William Kennedy, was a gardener at Curraghmore house, Lord Waterford's estate and emigrated to Hartford, connecticut, USA in 1880. My Kennedys were centered around Mothel, Rathgormack, Clonea and Carric-beg. I used to think they were connected to the Whitestown Kennedys, but now I'm not so certain.
