She was from Gloryford county Galway in 1887. I do not know if she was born here for sure. Her mother was born Mary Thompson and married Thomas Russell or Russel.According to US census records Mary Maymie Russell Kindig was born in Gloryford. In US census records her age changed according to who the census taker was who gathered the information. According to my grandfather she retained her Old Irish accent. She left Galway Bay around 1887 and no passage records have been found leaving Ireland or entering the US. She was Irish Catholic.
