Thank you, whoever is responsible for posting this. Fascinating. So nice to see one of the historical buildings in our ancestors' neighborhood!
Laragh is a 300 year old Georgian House.
In 1814 it was the residence of Thomas Tighe.
In 1830 it was held in fee (as part of The lands of Laragh & Ross) by Robert Henry Downes Mahon Esq. of Cavetown.
In 1856, Arthur Irwin Mahon put Laragh up for sale in the Incumbered Estates Court. At the time of Griffith's Valuation, 1858, it was occupied by Patrick Joseph O'Connor who held the house from Patrick O'Connor.
The house and farm are currently for sale.
