George Sinnott c1770 to c1825. Georrge Sinnott tenanted a farm in Lower Clonee Kilcomb Parish which later became the modern parish of Ferns in Wexford County. His farm bordered the large estate of Lord MountNorris of Camolin and fortunately for George had been owned by Protestant landlords throughout the late 17th and 18th centuries so was not part of the Cromwell confiscations. Historical Parish records have unearthed at least 4 of his children, John the eldest who inherited the farm mentioned above, Moses, Bridget and Thomas. In 1840 Moses and his wife Ellen and baby Bridget emigrated to Bathurst NSW Australia and carved out a very successful life for themselves. In 1857 Moses sent for other members of his family to join him on his property. My great grand father Thomas Sinnott son of John Sinnott and his 2 sisters and 2 cousins travelled out to Bathurst Australia to join Moses and start a new life.
