(Photo posted soon) John McGinty born 8th March 1866, son of John McGinty (1805 to 1885) a tenant farmer from Gortienes. John jnr had an older sister Mary and a older brother Patrick. Margaret Gallen was born in Cloghan on 15th July 1866, her dad Thomas Gallen was a tenant farmer & tailor who also had another daughter named Mary. John McGinty jnr married Margaret Gallen on 4th July 1896 at Kilteevoge RC Chapel, where soon after they married they both moved to the Maryhill area of Glasgow and had a large family.
