Matthew Elwood of Canbo, Croghan married Anne Beirne in 1854. He was still in the parish in 1855 when he was invited to godparent by his neighbours John Barrett & Mary Dowd of Ballinvilla. However, no children were baptised by this couple, and no death records appear.
