Andrew Belton was a tin plate worker from the townland of Rathdrum in Wicklow, born circa 1818. He married Sarah Gregory in the early 1830s.

He lived at house 16 on Main Street in Rathdrum, rented from William Gilbert along with his workshop, yard and garden. He paid £12 5s for his house and 5s for the surrounding land. Andrew is mentioned in the Wicklow News Letter and County Advertiser of September 1860 and 1865 for being declared a contractor to supply tinware.
Andrew died on 19 Mar 1888 of Bronchitis in the presence of his granddaughter Sarah Belton.
