My maternal Granddad was Patrick Moran born in Aughagrania in 1874, he was one of 17. He changed his name to Peter and arrived in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, in the late 1800's to work as a stonemason, he is listed as a lodger in Newton Street in the 1901 census. He married local girl Ethel Dennis in November 1902, and the first of their 7 children was born in January the following year. He died from injuries follwing a fall in the steel works in 1934.
