Daniel Donnell Kearney was born circa 1779 in Dungiven, Derry, Ireland according to his gravestone. He is my gggrandfather. Daniel resided in Dungiven, Bovevagh or Banagher with my gggmother, Margaret Kearney, nee Dallas according to the 1831 Tithe Applotment List. They emigrated from Liverpool on the ship Champlain in 1845 and arrived in Philadelphia, PA where he became a Naturalized Citizen. They later settled in Allegheny Twp, Cambria County, PA, USA. Daniel was a farmer. He died on May 21, 1869 and is buried beside wife Margaret (1791-1871) in St. Michael's Catholic cemetery, Loretto, Cambria County, PA, USA.
I am not very good at Genealogy but have always been proud of our Irish hertiage. I sincerely hope that some kind soul can help me find out about Daniel #1. Daniel #2 is my great grandfather and all I know about him is that he was born in Ireland and emigrated to US before or after Daniel #1. Thanks so very much. Mary Jo McConnellnee Carney.
