John Mooney (c1822 - ) was born in Ireland (County unknown) and married Winifred Hehir (Heher) about 1840. Son, Michael Joseph Mooney (1841 -1902).
He married Bridget Guthrie (1853 - 1919) d/o Martin Guthrie of County Clare. Family lore indicates John Mooney emmigrated from Ireland about 1846 enroute to New York City and died at sea.
Son, Michael Joseph Mooney, and his family settled in Louisville Kentucky I am searching for exact date/place of birth of John, and his wife (?) Winifred and any stories related to ancestral families.

John Mooney (!815-1846) m. Winifred Hehir (c1815-c1880. John appaently died at sea 1946 enroute to New York. Joh and Winifred had three sons and one daughter. Son Michael (1841-1902) m. Bridget Guthrie (1853-1919). Bridget was daughter of Martin Guthrie of County Clare. They had two sons and two daughters. Son John James (1875-1936) m. Josephine Schaedler (1878-1922). This is my wife's line. The Mooney line has been in Louisville since mid-1800s. Looking forward to possible links.
