John Cameron : Short Biography

This is my maternal g-g-grandfather. I have very little information about him other than his 1845 marriage recordin Quebec Canada which names him the major son of James Cameron and Jane Mathews.  

Record gives his parents as from Coleraine, Derry but I don't know if they were BORN there, were curently (1845) RESIDING there or if John was born there.  

Most confusing! I have a baptismal record for his daughter Ann but no other info about deaths or the births of his sons, James Henry and William John OR John William.
