Alexander (Allick) McDonald emigrated to Tremont, Pennsylvania in the 1850's with his wife Julia (Judith) and his daughter Mary McDonald. Red hair was in the family genes. The couple had three more daughters, Catherine, Ellen and Julia. Mary, Catherine, and Ellen moved to Philadelphia and married (Brown, Brett, Murphy, respectively. Julia remained in the Tremont area and married Edward Holland. I believe Judith's parents in Ireland were Martin Purcell and Mary Murphy. Alexander's parents may have been James McDonald and Ellen Dormer. Any Corroboration would be appreciated. Bob Brett
