Hanora/h Flynn was my paternal gr grandmother.
Hanora was born Derranagree, Cork and baptised at Dromtariff October 25th 1840.
Her father was James Flynn and her mother was Margaret Casey b 30 Jan 1820 in Killarney, Kerry. In 1860 Hanorah Flynn married a Simon Flynn born 1837 Drumagh, Cork. Simon's father was John Flynn and his mother was Mary Twomey.
Simon and Hanora and their eldest child emigrated to Australia in 1865 on the Sailing Ship "Sultana". They landed in Maryborough Queensland Australia and settled in Queensland where Simon eventually purchased a sugar plantation. They had in all 13 children - one of whom was my grandmother Bridget.
