John Clarke was born in County Louth between 1865 & 1872. His father, Patrick, was a farmer, possibly in the Kilcurry area. John is believed to have had at least two siblings, Bridget (known as Bridgie) and possibly Michael.
John moved to Liverpool circa 1899 and married Mary Jane Lavelle. He was a Marine Fireman. The couple had eight children, Catherine, John, Thomas, Patrick (my dad), twins Michael & Mary, Ellen and Margaret. Thomas & Michael both died in infancy.
John was my grandfather and I would love to hear from any Clarke descendants.
