Margaret Flood was born in 1843 in County Donegal, the daugther of John Flood and Ellen Cleary. She married James Armstrong on County Donegal in on 15 January 1865 [exact location unknown] and migrated to Glasgow, Scotland soon thereafter. Later, in 1906, Margaret migrated to Chicago, Illinois, USA, where she died on 12 March 1923.
