Henry Carr : Short Biography

My great great paternal grandfather was Henry Carr b. 30 Jun 1830 in Clifden, Galway.  He went on to work for the Irish Coastguard and was decorated many times for life saving and bravery. 

He married Roseanna Quinn/Quin (b. 1846 Galway, d. 8 Aug 1877) who is buried in Clifden with her infant son, Samuel Adolphus b. 3 Sept, 1876. 

Henry and Roseanna had 7 children, all born at various points in western Galway.  My great grandfather, their son Alexander, was born in the Aran Islands.  He and his brothers, John Henry and Charles Hamilton, emigrated to North America along with their older sister Mary Louisa. 

Alexander and Mary Louisa eventually settled in Ontario, Canada and the two brothers settled in the USA - Charles in Worcester, MA and John Henry in St. Louis, MI. 

After Roseanna passed away, Henry married Ellen McAllister.  When Henry retired, they moved to Coolock, Dublin, where he died in 1903. 

I have been trying to find any living descendants of Henry and Roseanna's other children, William Francis and Mary Jane.  Also, Henry had 6 siblings so I am quite sure there are other living relatives.  I have been in contact with some, mostly from the USA, but surely there are some left in Ireland.
