Sarah Ann Whitten (née Little) is my Great Grandmother who raised nine children on a small tenant farm -
I need help tracking down the Little family and where they lived.
Sarah Ann Little baptised Presbyterian in Killinchy, Co. Down, 5 Oct 1825, father James Little - mother unknown as is residence. Transcript of baptismal register in PRONI cites Quarter Land against James Little father - assume this is the Townland of residence - there's no mention of any Little in Griffiths records for Quarter Land. She died 1896 her tombstone being at 2nd Presbyterian Church, Newtonhamilton, Armagh - tombstone for both husband Samuel Whitten and her. No evidence of marriage details discovered.
Ancestry DNA shows distant link between me and Little family including James Little (father James Little, baptised Killinchy Presbyterian 1832) who seems to be younger brother of Sarah Ann Little. PRONI transcription of baptismal register clearly shows a different Townland from Quarter Land - I have photocopy but can't read the Townland - can someone volunteer to help?? [THE PRONI TRANSCRIPTION IS ATTACHED]
