Martin Fahey was born in 1853 in Scariff, Co. Clare, Ireland. His parents were Francis Fahey (farmer) and Honorah Noonan. (details taken from his Qld registered marriage certificate 10th July 1881 in Gympie Qld).
Possible siblings gleaned from (LDS film No. 979694 Item 7 Parochial Reg of Scariff & Moynoe (Clare) 1852-1881 & Item 4 Par Reg Tulla (Clare) 1519-1880
17 Sept 1852 Anne of Frank Fahy & Honora Nunan Sps Martin Nunan and Margaret Roghan or Boughan
3 September 1859 John of Francis Fahy and Honora Noonan Sps Patk Fahey & Mary Collins.
There are other births to Fahy/Fahey parents on these reels bearing the names of Martin's Australian-born children which could indicate they were also his siblings. ie Michael Fahy & Mary Fahey and Patk (John's sponsor)
Martin emigrated to Australia on the Royal Dane and arrived in Brisbane Queensland in 1874 and eventually settled in Gympie Qld. Gympie was the site of a gold discovery and attracted many Irish families to the area. Martin's Australian descendants have been unable to track siblings who may have settled in Australia or abroad ie. USA.
I am seeking information about the children of Francis Fahey and Honorah Noonan. Marilyn Leslie
