The Lighthouse was built in 1886.
It is constructed of concrete on a circular plan.
The Lighthouse is situated on the end of a pier reachable by foot.
This is just one of a network of Lighthouses along the East Coast in Wicklow.
The building was reglazed in the 1970's but retains much of its original features.
The Wicklow Lighthouse has been maintained to an excellent standard and is still operational today.
