John Tierney was my Grt Grandfather, I have no idea where he was born but going from his age at death he was born around 1838 and his wife Catherine Fahy around 1833 which made her 16 when she married in 1849 in clontuskert.

Their Children included, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Sabina, Bridget, Eleonora, Patrick, Nicholas, Thomas, Ceacilia & Sarah, although Ceacilia & Sarah could be the same people.

John & Catherine both died within months of each other in 1889 and their address is down as Gorteenaveela. My Grandmother Ceacilia married Patrick Burke in 1899 in the Church in Ballinasloe, they moved to Manchester where they went on to have 4 children, I have the 1901 & 1911 census and not much else.

I would love to find living relatives of either Grt Grandparent or any information.

Hello, I am descendant of the Tierney`s. Their daughter Margaret married Joseph Gill and Margaret and Joseph`s daughter Ellen was my great-grandmother. Kind regards, Declan Kelly
