These Military Barracks are located in Castlebar town, in County Mayo.
The three-storey building was sanctioned in 1828, and construction began in 1831.
It was deliberately burnt in 1922 but restored in 1927-1934.
The building has been modernised with the addition of uPVC windows being just one of the alterations.
In spite of these changes, the building has managed to retain many of its original features.
The Castlebar Military Barracks has been maintained to a good standard.
