born abt 1820 Ballymore, Cork. Travelled to England as a soldier and was posted in Bengal in 87th Regiment from 1849-1852, possibly longer. Landed in Melbourne, Australia 5th May 1853 on board, Prince Albert. Moved about with the army then shipped to Hobart, Tasmania where his duties were a Constable until 1862, he then settled in Prahran, Victoria for the rest of his life, 1905 he passed away as a herbalist.
