I've picked up JOSEPH HEENAN who at the time of his marriage in 1870 was a warder at an asylum. There is no indication which asylum this was but he was resident at Maryborough.

His father in law WILLIAM LAINE was also a warder

Does anyone know which asylum they might have been at and whether there are any records available that would indicate the names of employees??

Hi Ballypierce, thanks for the info - I'll try and do some further digging on the asylum. Maybe newspapers of the time would help.

Re the Laine's I have Amelia Laine

I don't have a record of her birth - perhaps you have her in your records.

In 1870 she marries Joseph Heenan. The marriage is recorded in the   Registrar’s District of Mountmellick, Parish of Rosenallis in the Queen’s County as follows
