I believe Valentine was born in Dungarvan to Valentine Tallon and Mary Ryves/Reeves (married 1796 Waterford). Valentine married in Sussex England to Frances Akehurst (1837) and died in Rye Sussex (1869).
I have no idea at what age he went to Sussex nor if his parents went with him. I believe his Father was born 1771 either in Waterford or Dublin - and his parents Valentine Tallon and Elizabeth Geoghagan from Mullinhack Dublin. I believe theTallon men were merchants, though when in Sussex Valentine (born c1799) became a coastguard and a Ships Master Coastguard.
I have found several bits of information, like a wedding entry for his parents, bankrupcy news clipping and trade directories in Dungarvan and Dublin for Valentine Tallons but unsure which belongs to which person.
I believe my Valentine born about 1799 and is brother to Dominck Tallon who lived in Lacken Lodge Abby-side Dungarvan.
