I am searching for more information on my ancestor Denis McLaughlin of Inishowen, Donegal.
He was born around 1840. He was married to Nancy Doherty, and resided at Rooskey, near Drung in the 1860s-1870s.
Their children were baptized in the parish of Moville, probably at St Columba's church.
Their son Patrick McLaughlin, born 1869, immigrated to the States and became my great-great-grandfather.
I would like to find out if this Denis and Nancy moved away from Moville, and to where. They are not buried at Drung. They may have gone to Culdaff or to Malin. I realize that McLaughlin and Doherty are mighty common names in the area, and there were at least a half dozen Denis McLaughlins in the area at that time. If anyone has any information or any connections to these people I would love to know more!
