I assume that Daniel Clancy married Catherine (Kate) Molony in early 1829 because their daughter, Bridget, was baptised 18 December 1829. The godparents were Darby Molony of Kilrohill and Cath Kenedy of Ardatagill. The marriage could have been earlier and other children could have been born earlier but the online Catholic Parish Registers only begin in 1828 and I’ve found no earlier entries. I also assume that Daniel was about 20 years old.
John Clancy was baptised between August and September 1832. The godparents were Lot Molony of Ballyknevin and Margaret Molony of Kilrohill.
Another son, Michael, was baptised on 4 July 1838. His godparents were Daniel Clancy and Biddy Driscol of Ballyneavin.
The family’s residence at the baptism of all three children was Ballyknavin (Ballyknevin,Ballymacnavin, Ballyneavin)), O’Briensbridge, County Clare.
In 1824 Daniel Clanchy was a listed as a property occupier in the 1824 County Clare Tithe Applotment Books for the parish of O’Briensbridge-Killaloe
