Catherine Molony

Catherine (Cath, Kath) Molony (Moloney) married Daniel Clancy in Killaloe parish, County Clare sometime before December 1829. I assume she was about 20.

Kate had three children: Bridget (baptised 18 December 1829), John (baptised between August and September 1832) and Michael (baptised 4 July 1838).

She resided in the townland of Ballynevin, County Clare with her husband from 1829 to at least 1838.

She was probably related to Lot Molony of BallyKnevin, County Clare and Darby Molony of Kilrohil, County Clare as they were godparents for two of her children.

  • Do you know if Catherine Moloney had a sister named Mary Moloney that married John Brown in 1866? They both emmigrated to Canada.

  • Hello, I'm doing my ancestry research and have traced back to Lott Moloney from Ballynevin. Would be very interested to see if you have made any more discoveries on the Moloneys from Ballynevin!
