Hi, wondering if you have been able to figure anything out with your Egan ancestors from Laoise. My 3great grandmother Mary Eagan. (Born around 1800s). Married John Flaherty and had daughter Maria (b abt 1840)- this info was pulled from her dc. I have had my moms dna tested and been able to successfully trace a good number 4C level matches to a Egan family members of new castle county Pennsylvania. There is some info on Ancestry to suggest that these Egans originated from Laoise including a baptismal record I have for a Maria Flaherty born 1841 to John and Mary flaherty. I think your egans and my egans are somehow related. Feel free to reach out to me to i am on Ancestry user name
