Cyriac Roach born 1784 in Ireland is my 3rd great grandfather on my fathers side.

He was 2 years old when he immigrated to Nova Scotia, where Joseph Aucoin of France and his wife Marie Hebert adopted Cyriac.

Stories told are that Cyriac's parents were very poor and were friends with the Aucoins.

Cyriac married Rosslie Harnois in 1803 in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia and had 9 children.

Cyriac died January 30, 1849

  • I am a direct descendant of Cyriac and I am looking for information on where he was from in Ireland before he came to Nova Scotia, Canada. I am also looking for a list of Cyriac's children's children. I am trying to find the missing link of which of his children are our link to him. Thanks!

    I am Ronald à Louis William à Patrice (Patrick) à William à Lubin à  Pierre/Thecle à  Cyriac.

    Very curious to know where you found information that Cyriac was born in Limerick as well as a record of his date of death.

    I live in Ottawa now, but grew up in Cape Breton.
