Festus was born to James Flynn and his first wife Maria Conway in 1841. Maria died either giving birth or shortly after, and Festus (known as Festy) was brought up by James' second wife Bridget Walsh.
He appears with James & Bridget and his half siblings (Bridget, John & Mary) in 1851 (in the Galway parish of Kilbegnet) but did not emigrate with them in the mid 1850's to England.
I could find no trace of him after that -including any possible emigration to the US - but I believe a death registration in 1865 of a Festus Flynn likely applies to this Festus, showing he died in the Roscommon Workhouse.
