  • I am looking for infomation on the Fallon family that lived in Ballinagare.  Francis (John) Fallon, 1853-1941, was a farmer there and was married to Mary Leonard in the chapel in Ballinagare in 1878.  It appears that John's siblings had immigrated to Pittsburgh, Pa. by 1910 all of Johns children also left for Pittsburgh except for his youngest daughter Isabella who Married a William Leonard.  I believe Isabella and William Leonard stayed in the area.  One son, Frank Fallon was said to have returned to Ireland after 1919 but I have been unable to find any more on him.  He was married to Mary Jane Mulrooney in Derreen, County Roscommon in 1915.  Any information of on the family who remained in Ireland, or immigrated would be most appreciated.

  • I believe that the family of William Leonard may still live in the area.

  • That is awesome.  I visited that area last in 2012 but hadn't realized a connection past the Fallon family at that time.  I would love to know if they are interested in finding family/  Is there a public directory in Ireland?

  • William and Isabella had a daughter and two sons (that we know of). One son went to England. One son had two daughters, locally. Williams & Isabella's daughter married Flynn and her three children moved to America, named Mary-Ann, John (RIP) & Pat. All went, possibly, to Pennsylvania. Hope that is some help.
