Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in UK
Francis, his wife Jane, and five of their children left the coastguard station at Enniscrone to travel to England in 1839.
Their son Francis (my two times great grandfather) was born in Faverhsam Kent on 5 October 1839. Adimiralty records give Francis the elder's birth date as 25 May 1800 in Mullagahmore.
It is not clear if the family were Catholic or not as not their children born in England were baptsied in a Catholic Church. Francis did though witness at Catholic marriage in the parish of Kilglass in 1836.
No marriage for Francis and Jane or baptisms for their Irish born children have been found.
