Annie was born in Tipperary area in about 1837. She married her husband William Kennedy in Terryglass in February 1856. Current thinking is they migrated to Victoria Australia leaving Liverpool in October 1856 on the Star of the East arriving in Melbourne, Port Phillip Bay in Feb 140 days later 1857- unconfirmed as of June 2020.
Annie died in Melbourne in 1915 and her death certificate lists her parents as William Carroll and Honora Cadwell from Tipperary. William's death in Melbourne in 1891 gave his parents names as James Kennedy and Julia Kelly also from Tipperary
William and Annie went to the gold diggings in Victoria where they lived for a number of years. They had 8 children there- the first two died as infants. I am descended from one of their sons, Edward James Kennedy born Taradale 1865. He married in 1890 and had one daughter before the marriage broke down and he left - whereabouts unknown.
