She was born circa April 1830 in Carnew, Co Wicklow, Ireland, the daughter of James and Margo Bolger (née Gregan), and was baptised on 2 May 1830 at St Brigid Church, Tomacork, Co Wicklow.
She married Andrew Allwell on 9 May 1852 at St Brigid Church, Tomacork, Co Wicklow.
They had six children: James (1853-1928); Andrew (1855-1880); Thomas (1857-1886); Patrick Joseph (1859-1929); Francis (born 1862); and Margaret (1864-1887).
She died on 10 August 1883 at Carnew, Co Wicklow, and was buried on 12 August 1883 at St Brigid Church, Tomacork, Co Wicklow.
