Maurice's sister, Ellen Langan Carrig died, before her brother, in Nebraska. On her headstone it states her birth place as County Limerick. Maurice's obituary, as you noted, did claim he was from County Kerry. I searched County Kerry records, to no avail. I turned to County Limerick and found his baptism information. It had the same parents and location listed as his sister's. Obituaries can be a treasure of information, but not always correct. I know the relative who posted the information on Find A Grave and suffice it to say, their research does not meet good genealogy standards. I hope to provide more information and source material on this family line, in the meantime I just added some basic information. Thank you again for your input, I do appreciate hearing from folks.
