William John is my great grandfather. He was born July 10/1877 in Droghead, Aughadowey, Londonderry, Northern Ireland. His parents were Hugh McMullan and Martha McGrath/McGraw. His siblings were Hugh born 1871, Ann Elizabeth born 1873, Mary born 1875, Margaret Ellen born 1879, Hesther born 1884 and James born 1886.
William John married Elizabeth Aiken on May 27/1905 in Belfast, NI. Elizabeth was born Jan.10/1885 in Ballyclare Antrim Co. to James Aicken and Annie McWhirter. William and Elizabeth's first born child was James Aicken McMullan born Mar.16/1906 in Belfast. William had moved to Canada, to Winnipeg Manitoba in 1905 after their marriage. In 1906, Elizabeth and son James then followed and joined William in Winnipeg. They then had my grandfather, William Joseph McMullin born Sept. 13/1908 in Winnipeg, followed by son Herbert born Jan 2/1910 in Winnipeg and then daughter Annie Ellen born May 25/1914 also in Winnipeg.
William died January 13/1961 in Winnipeg. Elizabeth died February 24/1964 in Selkirk, Manitoba.
